The Concept

Young Spanish brings one of our quality instructors on-site to the school daily or weekly and they deliver a lockstep language learning and Spanish culture program. 

Young Spanish^TM (“YS”) delivers the following:

• Spanish language and culture instruction covering up to 16 themes and 9 countries

• Advanced curriculum (sentence formation) and knowledge testing can be included

• 1-2, experienced instructors: Please see click here for Instructor bios.

• Management and oversight of curriculum and instructors.

     This includes:

• screening and recruitment to attract quality instructors

• building an instructor pool to accommodate program expansion and substitute instruction

• customizing the curriculum making it meaningful and relevant to the age/grade of the student

• implementing best practices and formalized feedback

• At the School’s discretion, participation in a minimum of two (2) School (PTA) meetings or functions where YS would present status updates and Program examples so parents can be aware and even participative in their child’s foreign language learning.

Curriculum Scope and Sequencing: Delivering an enriched experience

We will make a best effort to align the curriculum, which emphasizes multi-sensory learning; with the school’s long range planning in order to optimize the child’s learning experience. This will involve sequencing the monthly themes to complement other subjects or classes.  This includes themes such as colors, days of the week, seasons, and parts of the body, to advanced concepts which challenge the student by identifying things around the house or their school. For example, since homes and schools differ from country to country, Young Spanish^TM utilizes this theme to broaden the child’s perspective by showing how things may differ from a house in Kansas to one in Spain.  This is where language and culture come together to deliver a rich, diverse program for kids.
